There are people of 95 nationalities studying at the University of Lodz. Our University  builds academic community around the values of respect for cultural, religious and community identities as well as social sensitivity.


The University wants to form active global citizens who think critically, understand the complexity and the diversity of perspectives which underline most global problems.

The number of international degree students is growing  each year. In the current academic year the UL is hosting 1430 full-time degree students. Most of the international students come from: Ukraine, Turkey, Belarus, China, Russia, and India. The number of international students is growing  each year Altogether, the UL hosts about 2400 international students each year. The number includes the enrollment for full-time (i.e. degree) studies as well as different kinds of one-semester student mobility programmes.
