University of Lodz puts great importance on its international relations. The UL cooperates with over 250 partner institutions from all over the world within institutional bilateral agreements. And it is with even a greater number of European universities that our institution participates in the Erasmus+ programme, which promotes staff and student mobility. The range of existing cooperation includes mutual research projects, dual diplomas, and exchange of academic staff and students. In its strategy, the University of Lodz focuses on developing strong partnerships that foster long lasting and deep relationships worldwide.
The institution regularly hosts visiting professors, guest speakers, renowned politicians, businessmen and cultural representatives from Poland and abroad. During recent years, it was honoured by such visitors as Andrzej Wajda (Polish film and theatre director, recipient of an Honorary Oscar Award), Margaret Thatcher, José Manuel Barroso, Amos Oz, Joachim Gauck (President of Germany) and Umberto Eco. The University of Lodz boasts to be one of the most internationalized universities in Poland.
